Food

All-day dining

At the Ba’ Bar, we’re reinventing Modern Scottish cuisine, with a selection of wee bites and larger dishes to cater to every appetite. Available all day, every day, our seasonal menus showcase the best ingredients we can source – expect modern spins on classic Scottish dishes such as Cullen Skink, Cambells haggis bonbons and our own whisky-slaked cranachan; alongside timeless favourites including crispy pork belly, meltingly tender seared scallops and the ever-popular Dunstane burger.

Breakfast

Sweet or savoury, healthy or hearty – however you like to start your day, the Dunstane Houses delivers. The Ba’ Bar’s generous morning spread offers a help-yourself array of cereals, fresh fruit, juices and freshly baked breads and pastries. Scotland, of course, knows how to do breakfast and our Full Scottish is the talk of the town, with generous helpings of haggis, Ayrshire bacon, farm-sourced sausages and black pudding, and the best tattie scones this side of the Tay.

Afternoon tea

It may be an English tradition, but we’re not afraid to go south of the border from time to time. Served in the Ba’ Bar every day, our afternoon tea is a delicious spread of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes baked in the Dunstane kitchen and fluffy scones slathered with locally made jam and Scottish cream. Wash it down with our your choice from our selection of fine teas, a glass of champagne or raid our artisan gin selection and make it a Hendrick’s G&Tea. We’ll even pop a slice of cucumber in the cup.

Scottish produce

At the Dunstane Houses, we believe in quality, character and supporting local businesses, which is why we go the extra mile to seek out the finest farms and producers in the region. Wherever possible, all our ingredients are sourced from within the borders of Scotland – from fish and seafood freshly caught on the coast of Orkney and artisan cheeses made on local farms to craft beers and spirits from Highland breweries and distilleries. We maintain close relationships with all our suppliers, partly because we love what they do, but mainly because we know that means they’ll give us the really good stuff.
