That’s right! This weekend, normal supper service will resume as we reopen our kitchen here at The Dunstane Houses.
From this Friday, 14 August, we’ll be serving dinner every Friday and Saturday from 6pm – 8.30pm featuring all of our Dunstane classics. As usual, we’re keeping things seasonal, Scottish and locally sourced and we’re delighted to be working with our chef-picked selection of regional producers once again to bring you, our guests, the very best of farm, field and fishing boat.
Our Wee Bites menu will welcome back a handful of our Scottish classics including the Orkney hand-cut smoked salmon and Campbell’s pork and black pudding Scotch egg, perfect to enjoy alongside a local tipple on our terrace or in our lounge.
Our reimagined Bigger Bites selection includes our pick of much-missed gastro pub classics including our Spiced Orkney beef burger and of course, our Innis & Gunn beer-battered Scrabster fish & chips. Oh and don’t forget about our Granny Smith Apple and Stoat’s oats crumble for dessert. Yum!
We’ll also be reintroducing our all-day Ba’ Bar & lounge menu featuring options for all occasions. For those eager to organise a special reunion with loved ones, choose from our traditional, cream, Dungin or champagne afternoon tea selection or learn something new with our introduction to Scottish gin or whisky tasting experiences. It wouldn’t be a Ba’Bar menu without our celebrated ‘Taste of Orkney & Scotland’ platter too of course! Oh, we’ve missed those haggis bon bons!
The boutique nature of our bar and lounge and expansive alfresco terrace means we’re able to naturally abide by social distancing, too.
The Ba’ Bar & lounge menu is available from 12 noon – 8.30pm, Sundays – Thursdays and 12 noon – 6pm, Fridays and Saturdays. We kindly request that you pre-order if choosing from this menu. Please email us or call us when making your booking to place your order.
